“We visited today in the June sunshine and thought it was the best garden we'd visited. We are visiting all the great gardens in Cornwall at the moment as we are restoring an ancient park and need inspiration! This was so beautifully planned, and the plants so unusual and so healthy, that we were very impressed. The lakes were very interesting, and the cakes were wonderful! “What is really a lovely is the chain of lakes through a semi-wild area of grassland and shrubs where you can wander, sit down and watch the wildlife. Tranquillity is its essence. There is enough space for you to lose yourself. The owners and staff are very agreeable and informal - you can brew your own cuppa.”

“A little gem of a garden. Most in this area of Cornwall are very large and grand but this one is easily toured in an hour or two, although I would recommend staying longer and just sitting by the thatched tea house drinking tea and eating delicious homemade cakes. The gardens have been planted with a lot of thought and to cover all seasons”
